Christian graduated from Laval University in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics. He first came to High River in 1974 to work on a ranch west of town. After harvest in 1975, he worked on drilling rigs in northern Alberta and BC for some time until he returned to university to complete his degree. He met his wife Carol when he returned to High River for a visit. Growing up at the family farm, Christian was found in the shop working on his motorbikes and snowmobiles and helping his dad maintain farm equipment and vehicles. Also, having the chance to grow up near Sanair, a major Drag racing, Stockcar, and Indy car racing complex where he would spend most of his spare time observing the pit crews working on their race cars, cemented his passion for auto repairs and performance. His love for cars and his interest in meeting and helping people helped Christian decide to purchase the shop when it became available. As hobbies, Christian and Carol like to spend time camping and fishing spending time with their grandkids.
